Free Medical Training

Tsuande stood casually in a field, the wind lightly whipping at her hair. She had decided it was time to train more medical ninja, so, she was ready to teach 2 or 3 students that decide to turn up, but they must be ready to learn.

(( Yeah~~ If you want to be a medical ninja, reply to this topic, but I'll only accept 2-3 students, just to make my job easier xDD ))

Hinata appeared on the training grounds, now standing before Tsunade with a confident look in her eyes. "I-I heard that you're training ninja i-in medical ninjutsu. I've come to a-ask if you can train me Tsunade-sama...I-I want to be of more use to the village n-now that I'm no longer a genin..."

Tsuande smiled at Hinata. "Thats good, Hinata, I'm glad to see you here. We will just wait for one or two more, and then we will begin" She said, placing her hands on her hips.

"O-Okay..." she smiled a little before she nodded in agreement. She decided to wait patiently over by the wooden posts.

Shikamaru slowly walks into the training field. He figures that he is probably late, but that wouldn't be anything new to anyone. He is surprised when he sees that Tsunade and HInata are the only other two there.

"Tsunade-Sama, I'm here to the art of using medical jutsu. I think it would help me become an even better support ninja.", says Shikamaru was a serious tone that was untypical for him.

Tsuande nodded "Okay, unless there are any late shirkers, lets get started. Okay, how much chakra control have you two done?" She questioned.

"I have pretty good chakra control.", says Shikamaru "Shadow possession jutsu and controling it's size and direction that it goes in is all based off from how well you can control chakra." Shikamaru had just felt like saying that as proof that he was pretty good with chakra control.

"W-Well, I think I'm pretty good with chakra control...I-I have to work on it often to improve my jutsu." she says a somewhat meek voice.

"Come to think of it. I'd imagine that the gentle fist techniques require a lot of chakra control too.", says Shikamaru.

((Dunno if someone was waiting for me, but I was waiting for Tsunade, lol.))

She nodded her head a little. "I-It does require a lot of concentration on the chakra, o-otherwise our attacks might n-not be as powerful."

Tsuande nodded, implying that she agreed with Hinata "However" She added "Medical ninjutsu requires a chakra control even more powerful than that. A medical ninja's job is highly precise" She smiled at the pair "The technique I will be teaching you is a standard medical ninjutsu, known as the Mystical Palm Technique" Tsuande held up her palm as a curious green glow came about it "But first, I want to test your chakra control. You two cool with that?"

Typically Shikamaru would groan or something like that, but he didn't. "Sure."

Hinata simply nodded her head in agreement, staring at Tsunade's glowing green palm.

"It is highly important that medical ninja have excellent chakra control, because not only can these jutsu be used for healing, they can be used for attacks" Tsuande thrusted her glowing palm at a nearby tree, easily slicing it in half. The tree toppled down, and Tsuande smiled in satisfacton.

"Okay, have you guys been taught the Tree climbing Technique? I imagine your Sensei's would have gone over it at some point"

She looked at the befallen tree with slight awe before looking back at Tsunade. "I-I vaugely remember Kurenai-sensei going o-over that lesson with us a long time ago." she said.

Tsuande nodded in approval "How about you, Shikamaru? Has your team ever gone over it with Asuma Sensei?"

Shikamaru grimaces. "I remember it like it was yesterday...... Ino and I were pretty good at it but Choji wasn't... then he got mad because he was hungry... "

Tsuande chuckled- How typical of Team 10 "Good. Then I imagine you two know what I'm going to say next" She pulled out two kunai and tossed them at Shikamaru and Hinata's feet "If you guys are familer with this exercise, it shouldn't take very long at all. You may stop once you have reached a satisfactory height- Remember, too little chakra and you will fall. Too much chakra and you will smash the tree. And remember, no hands!" Tsuande chuckled "Okay, if there are no furthur questions, you may begin"

Hinata nodded before removing the kunai from the ground and staring up at the tree she was aiming to climb. She closed her eyes, focusing the right amount of chakra into her feet before she charged at the tree, now running up the tree at a constant speed.

Tsuande watched with approval as Hinata ran towards the tree. She had always been proud of Hinata's progress, and all the extra effort Hinata has put in to ensure she achieves to the best of her ability.

Shikamaru also picks up the kunai and runs at his tree. He too goes up it at a steady pace but it is slightly slower than Hinata. Man, what is it with women being better with chakra control than men? Thinks Shikamaru to himself.

Hinata scales up the tree higher and higher, to the point where she's almost at the top. She frowns when she feels the bark of the tree begin to collapse on her so she quickly pushes herself off before marking the tree with her kunai, now free falling in the air. She managed to grab onto a sturdy tree branch, slowly pulling herself up a bit.

"Very good Hinata! You may come down now, that was a satisfactory performance. Tsuande turned to look at Shikamaru's tree, to see how he was doing.

Shikamaru too almost gets to the top. However he doesn't look at the tree right in front of him and trips upwards on a nub on it. Instead of slashing the bark his trip causes him to stab the bark and fall down. He lands relatively gracefully but as he looks up he sees that the kunai is still stuck way up the tree. "Good grief!"
