Shikamaru walks towards the village gates and spots Izumo and Kotetsu on duty.

"Hey guys, anything interesting happen lately"

"No, It's been boring, but I suppose that's a good thing". says Izumo

"Yeah", says Kotetsu

Hinata slowly walks towards the village front gates, heading over to Shikamaru in her usual shy manner. "H-Hello...Shikamaru." she greeted him shyly.

*Shikamaru looks at Hinata*

"Oh, hi Hinata. What brings you out here?", asks Shikamaru genuinely surprised to see Hinata in as random a place as this.

"O-Oh...well I was just...looking for...Naruto-kun." she admits with a deep blush.

"Oh... He's probably train with that Jiraiya guy. Either that or he's likely to be draining the Ichiraku Ramen shop dry."

"O-Oh...he must be training with him...I-I already checked the ramen s-shop." she said with a slight look of disappointment in her eyes.

"To be honest my parents are having a little arguement and it's a pain so I'm stalling and hoping they get it fixed. So until then I'm just going to wander around and see if I can find a quiet spot where I can relax and watch the clouds. But don't get me wrong I'm not rushing this conversation because of that."

"O-Oh...Neji and I...are getting along a little better than we used to...and both him and my father m-make sure I get the proper t-training." she said with a warm smile.

Jiraiya passes by, "Hey hey, have you seen Naruto? He told me he will be training with me today." Then he looks at the girl, "Hey, it's you! Sorry about last time lady, I didn't get your name?"

"N-Naruto-kun...?" she repeatede a bit surprised, getting a little flustered in the face. "O-Oh, my name...is Hinata Hyuuga." she said shyly.
